last night we decorated our tree! well… halfway. we put three strands of lights on that sucker and then realized we didn’t have hooks for any of the ornaments i got!have to get some today on my way home.

this is exciting for me for a few reasons.

-this means christmas is almost here.

-this is the first tree i’ve ever had in my own apartment (i know… crazy right? you’d think with the number of ladies i’ve lived with i would have had like 30…)

-this is the first tree holland has every had in his own apartment too! (yeah bitches… i got his tree virginity.)

-this is the first christmas we are spending together in our new home, together, as homeowners.

this must mean i’m growing up… right?

SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE ONE OF THOSE DAYS WHERE YOU NEED TO WRAP YOURSELF IN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND THROW ON A SANTA HAT. and drown in thick knit, chunky winter sweaters.
